You can start to see here that the cons of the game all work together in a harmonious fashion to make your gaming experience as annoying as possible. That crystal you're carrying cause you can't decide where you want to put it so you don't have to run so darn much, it weighs. You also have to walk and place this crystal where you want that point, and, guess what. You can only fast travel if you find crystals that make a point on the map fast-travable. This means a heck of a lot of inventory juggling between you and your followers. The game punishes you for not having a potion for every debuff or situation and yet it also makes you nearly encumbered if you decide to do so. There shouldn't even be an encumberance system in the first place, it adds nothing to the game.

Stamina system sucks so much when you have to run large swaths of land. There are lot LOTS more I could list but the list would be WAY too long. This is just one example I notice that happens a lot. You will have pawns constantly walking up to the enemy, staring it dead in the eye for 10 seconds, then running back to stare at you, then climb the monster, hit it once, and fall back into their staring contest loop again. Pawns (followers) are stupid as heck and are essentially useless in battle. Building a party that has the abilities and spells you want is fun and the game rewards you for building a party for a major threat you're going to face.

The leveling system is fun and sort of unique. This makes going melee just as fun and viable as going mage. The monster-hunter-esque combat of breaking parts off of monsters to weaken them and later use them to upgrade your gear, is a lot of fun. One of the more interesting ways I've seen a game handle magic.

it just requires a good deal of patience when considering all the annoying bits. There's a lot of things that make this game annoying, but before getting into them and the good bits, is this game fun? Yes.
